The Black Daphnes is an alternative rock band from New Zealand. Formed in 2020 by husband & wife duo Luke van Hoof (former front man of Rival State and guitarist for Kids of 88) and Finnish singer Peppi Polviander; who met in London. The band was later joined by guitarist Tyler Melody, drummer Jarad Melody and bassist Craig MacLeod. With the influences of garage rock, indie and grunge; The Black Daphnes are releasing their debut EP in 2021.

When she’s not rehearsing or in front of the camera, you'll find Peppi enjoying time outdoors with husband, Luke, & son, Lumi.
